Welcome to the home of Queen City Running & Walking Club – now in our 4th year in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Whether you are an experienced or novice runner, run/walker or walker, we have a program for you. Our current group membership is over 700 runners & walkers, which simply means that you will have plenty of company out on the roads and during our workouts.

2019 Flying Pig Marathon/Spring Training – Running
Our 2018 Flying Pig/Spring Marathon training begins in January 2019
We anticipate having over 150 Marathon runners for the 2019 Pig Training season, and you are welcome to join us! The organized Marathon workouts will be Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm and on Saturday mornings at 7:00/7:30am, which will take place at various locations in the Cincinnati area. There will also be a Sunday morning makeup run option available for those unable to join us for the regular sessions.

2019 Flying Pig Half-Marathon/Spring Training – Running & Run/Walk
Our 2019 Flying Pig/Spring Half-Marathon training begins in January 2019.
We anticipate having over 400 Half Marathon runners for the 2019 Pig Training season and hope you are one of those who decide to join us! For the Half-Marathon group, our primary workout night will be on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm at various locations in the Cincinnati area, with longer workout options taking place on Saturdays at 8:00/8:30am. In addition, we will have a West-Side workout option at Queen City Running in White Oak on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm. There will also be a Sunday morning makeup run option available for those unable to join us for the regular sessions.

2019 Flying Pig/Spring Training - Walking
Our 2019 Flying Pig/Spring training for Walkers is scheduled to begin in January 2019.
We anticipate over 100 walkers for the 2019 Pig Training season and hope you can join us as well! Workout options will be on Wednesdays at 6:30pm and on Saturdays at 7:00am. We will utilize a variety of sites in the Cincinnati area, designed to help prepare you for the 2018 Flying Pig race of your choosing. Note: We have a small group of Walkers that meet along with our runners on Tuesday nights.

2019 GetUp’NGo “Fall 5K/10K” Training Program – Beginning Runners, Run/Walkers & Walkers
For 2019, we will again offer a Spring(March) , Summer(May) and Fall(July)training program.
The GetUp’NGo programs are designed for beginning runners, run/walk and walkers. This group will meet twice weekly – Monday & Thursday evenings at 6:30pm - to help you build up your endurance for the planned “goal” race. This program is ideal for those just starting out, those wanting to get back into it, and/or those simply looking for a group to train with. We will provide a monthly training schedule, planned workout routes, and pace group coaches to help lead you through each workout session.

Queen City Running “Hyde Park Blast/Pray, Hope, Believe/Lei 5K” Training Option – Runners, Run/Walkers & Walkers.
This program will begin in May 2019 and meet regularly on Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Wednesdays at 6:30pm (White Oak) and on Saturdays at 8:00am.
We will also offer “optional Thursday” evening workouts. Our meeting sites include Oakley, Hyde Park, Norwood, Newport, Covington, DT Cincinnati and from our store in White Oak. This program is designed as a follow-up to our Pig training season, focusing on shorter distance & speed training in preparation of some local 5k races. This is also a great option for those new or just getting back into running or walking.

2019 Fall Marathon Training – Running & Run/Walk
Our Fall Marathon Running training is scheduled to begin in July 2019.
Though designed for the above races, we can easily cater to those with a different race in mind. We will offer a variety of mid-week workout options - Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at various sites around the Cincinnati & West Chester areas. Saturday mornings will be our primary long run workout, with Sunday morning makeup runs always an option. We will provide “on-course” coach/pace group support, monthly training schedule, planned workout routes, hydration/nutrition stations along routes, safety lights (when needed) and plenty of motivation and support that comes our “team-like” environment. This program is open to experienced and first-time marathoners alike, but we do ask that 5-6 miles is a comfortable distance for you when we start.

2019 Fall Half Marathon Training – Running & Run/Walk
Our Fall Half Marathon Running is scheduled to begin in July 2019.
We will offer a variety of mid-week workout options - Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at various sites around the Cincinnati & West Chester areas. Saturday mornings will be our primary long run workout, with Sunday morning makeup runs always an option. We will provide “on-course” coach/pace group support, monthly training schedule, planned workout routes, hydration/nutrition stations along routes, safety lights (when needed) and plenty of motivation and support that comes our “team-like” environment. This program is open to all levels of runners and run/walkers, whether your first half marathon or one of many. There is no base mileage requirement at the start of this program.

2019 Fall Marathon & Half Marathon Training – Walking
Our Fall Marathon & Half Marathon Walking training begins in June 2019, with Cincinnati’s Queen Bee Half in October as one of our main Fall training races.
Though we certainly can alter the training schedule to fit different races/events, this will be our primary fall race. We will offer two workout options each week – Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings – and will utilize a variety of sites in the Greater Cincinnati area. We will provide “on-course” coach/pace group support, monthly training schedule, planned workout routes, hydration/nutrition stations along routes, safety lights (when needed) and plenty of motivation and support that comes our “team-like” environment. Whether you are an experienced or novice walker, we can help provide you with the support you need to reach your goals. There is no base mileage requirement at the start of this program.
