Welcome to the home of Queen City Running & Walking Club – now in our 4th year in the Greater Cincinnati area. Whether you are an experienced or novice runner, run/walker or walker, we have a program for you. Our current group membership is over 700 runners & walkers, which simply means that you will have plenty of company out on the roads and during our workouts.


For more information about what is coming up for Summer/Fall 2018 please read on….

Queen City Running Central “Hyde Park Blast/Pray~Hope~Believe/Lei 5K” Training Option – Runners, Run/Walkers & Walkers. This program will begin on Saturday, May 12 and meet regularly on Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Wednesdays at 6:30pm (White Oak) and on Saturdays at 8:00am. We will also offer “optional Thursday” evening workouts.
Our meeting sites include Oakley, Hyde Park, Norwood, Newport, Covington, DT Cincinnati and from our store in White Oak. This program is designed as a follow-up to our Pig training season, focusing on shorter distance & speed training in preparation of some local 5k races. This is also a great option for those new or just getting back into running or walking. For this season, we will have 3 featured races….the Hyde Park Blast 4-Mile Race (June 30), the Pray~Hope~Believe 5k (July 4) and the Lei 5K (June29).

Queen City Running North “Hyde Park Blast/Pray~Hope~Believe/Lei 5K” Training Option – Runners, Run/Walkers & Walkers. This program will begin on Saturday, May 12 and meets regularly on Wednesdays at 6:30pm, and Saturdays at 8:00am.
Our meeting sites include our store in West Chester, and other locations in the surrounding area. This program is designed as a follow-up to our Pig training season, focusing on shorter distance & speed training in preparation of some local 5k races. This is also a great option for those new or just getting back into running or walking. For this season, we will have 3 featured races….the Hyde Park Blast 4-Mile Race (June 30), the Pray~Hope~Believe 5k (July 4) and the Lei 5K (June29). Though shorter in distance, many of our members welcome the change to quicker, more intense workouts.  This is also a great option for those new or just getting back into running or walking.

GetUp’NGo “Summer” 5K Training Program – Beginning Runners, Run/Walkers & Walkers
Our Summer GetUp’NGo program will begin on Thursday, May 10 at 6:30pm at the Queen City Running Store in White Oak.
The GetUp’NGo programs are designed for beginning runners, run/walk and walkers. This group will meet twice weekly – Monday & Thursday evenings at 6:30pm - to help you build up your endurance for the planned “goal” race. This program is ideal for those just starting out, those wanting to get back into it, and/or those simply looking for a group to train with. We will provide a monthly training schedule and coaches to help lead you through each workout session.

GetUp’NGo “Fall” 5K Training Program – Beginning Runners, Run/Walkers & Walkers
*Fall session is scheduled to begin on July 30 and will be geared towards the Sophie’s Angel 5K & Queen Bee 4-mile.

Fall Marathon Training – Running
Our Fall Marathon Running training kicks off on June 23, with the Columbus Marathon in October AND the Indy Monumental Marathon as our goal training races. Though designed for the above races, we can easily cater to those with a different race in mind. We will offer a variety of mid-week workout options (2 on Tuesday and 2 on Wednesday) at various sites around the Greater Cincinnati area. On Saturday mornings, we will combine groups for our long run workout. We will provide “on-course” coaches, routes, hydration stations, safety lights and motivation and support that come from a “team-like” environment. Sunday makeup long runs also provided.

 

Fall Half Marathon Training – Running
Our Fall Half Marathon Running training kicks off on July 7, with the Urban Bourbon Half in Louisville (October 20) and The Queen Bee Half (October 13) as our goal training races. Though designed for the above races, we can easily cater to those with a different race in mind. We will offer a variety of mid-week workout options (2 on Tuesday and 2 on Wednesday) at various sites around the Greater Cincinnati area. On Saturday mornings, we will combine groups for our long run workout. We will provide “on-course” coaches, routes, hydration stations, safety lights and motivation and support that come from a “team-like” environment. Sunday makeup long runs also provided.

 

Fall Marathon & Half Marathon Training – Walking
Our Fall Marathon & Half Marathon Walking training begins TBD with Cincinnati’s Queen Bee Half in October as one of our Fall training races. Though we certainly can alter the training schedule to fit different races/events, this will be our primary fall race. We will offer two workout options each week – Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings – and will utilize a variety of sites in the Greater Cincinnati area. We will provide “on-course” coaches, routes, hydration stations, safety lights and the motivation and support that come from a “team-like” environment. Whether you are an experienced or novice walker, we can help provide you with the support you need to reach your goals.
